Arches and Doggies

I had Friday (4th of July), Saturday, Sunday, and Monday off work so my husband and I went for a kind of final hoorah up to Idaho before moving to Portland next month. Amongst the biking, river tubing, the hiking and geo-caching, the birthday party, the movie viewing with family, and the getting horribly sunburned I was able to get some painting done, too. The first one is a HUGE painting that I did for my parents. They are adding on and remodeling their house and wanted something Tuscan feeling for their new dining room. This is what I came up with based on some photos I found online. I wish I could have gone to take the photos myself, but that's a bit out of the question.

The next paintings are more of the small dog portraits I've been doing lately. I actually got photos of these before giving them away. By the way, if you are interested in having your dog, or other pet, photo made into a lovely painting, let me know.
