It's that time of year again... the Different Strokes from Different Folks portrait exchange is at hand. I don't know who this artist is, but she is painting my portrait. I had a heck of a time with this painting- from the first strokes of the first draft to the photographing of the final piece, it was difficult... it looks better (as they generally do) in person. I cropped the reference to just focus on the expression on the face. I am fairly pleased with the finished product, especially compared to the first attempt. :)

Nice Photo! The painting just looks like the carbon copy. Truly amazing work of art.
Hi Chelsie, I REALLY like your DSFDF portrait that you did. Good work!
I looked at your beta web sit and it looks good as well. It's just me, but I like more contrast between the text and the background.
Keep up the good work and have a happy new year!

Hello, Chelsie,
Your entry for the DSFDS portrait challenge is wonderful. The slightly stylized, illustrative quality is really terrific. Great work.
Great job on this Chelsea. This very dramatic look could have easily been a disaster, but you pulled it off with an interesting crop.
great piece for DSFDF. Love the cropping you gave it too.
Good job! This was a tough reference photo to work from but you pulled out a good piece.
